Part 2

‘Treat people how you want to be treated’, they say. ‘Do unto others as you would have them do unto you’. We learn these sayings throughout our lives. Told and taught to be kind and honest, loving and accepting of everyone however they are. Always see the good in people, the best in them, no matter how messed up that person might be. But what happens when this backfires, when you come across people who may not follow these principles?

This is something we are not taught. It is very easy to say ‘just ignore and get over it’. But it really is not. When you only mean well, but for some reason those few people either refuse to or simply cannot see that. Their mind sets are such that they cannot fathom the fact that some people know how to be selfish in certain situations and selfless in others. That there is a perfect balance. You have to be only one of the two. So how does one get through to them, or is it not worth it?

Out of the many people you meet on a daily basis, there will only be a handful like you. It will only be that small bunch that is willing to understand you. I mean nowadays people do not have the time or patience to figure another person out. There is no charm left. Everyone wants that instant connection, that simple straight forward understanding and only then will any relationship be continued.

People are selfish! So for everyone out there who is struggling to get through to these kind of people, PLS DON’T! It is a waste of time. Stick to the ones who support you and are willing to take that extra step for you!! Do not be afraid and have patience, your time and people will come to you.
